I am proud to show you all the new scope and mount I recently got for Helga...my FX Impact .30 cal. air rifle. It is the Athlon Cronus BTR 4.5-29x56 FFP IR MOA with 34mm scope tube. Mine has the APLR Reticle in MOA but this scope comes in MIL or MOA as you prefer. I am using the Athlon 34mm 20 MOA Cantilever Scope Mount - which means I don't have to sacrifice a ton of clicks getting her zeroed in, and which also makes it easier to switch between it and my other Athlon scope.
This is a Tier One scope Made in Japan that is absolutely breathtaking in its quality! It is so crystal clear that I found myself whispering WOW over and over again...until after a few moments I had to just jump up and yell Hell Yes!
Over the years I have had the privilege of looking through some of the world's best scopes at my local rifle range that cost thousands of dollars, and I have only seen this type of quality in the high end Valdata, Nightforce, and Zeiss scopes so far. Actually, this Cronus 4.5-29x56 puts me in mind of the Valdata Recon G2 4.8-30x56 because of its short compact design and Tier One glass...but it is priced at more than a thousand dollars less!
This scope represents a real bargain when compared to other high end scopes in its class. For many years the retail price for the Cronus was $1799.99...but MidwayUSA now has it priced at $1599.99! - https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1020879796 - in Matte Black or Brown as you prefer. So if you are one of those guys like me that have tried lots of scopes over the years, and have always been tempted to try one of the very best now is your chance to do so. There are airgun scopes out there selling in this price range now, but they just can't compete with this kind of quality. So if you are thinking of purchasing a high end scope for your air rifle, I highly recommend you try an Athlon Cronus! I definitely give it 5 Stars!

Besides the crystal clear glass I personally loved the fact that the lines on the turrets actually line up with the registration line! And when I focused the reticle on my target at 50 yards the mark on the parallax focus knob was dead on 50 yards! And the clicks are like turning the dial on a million dollar bank vault door...crisp and audible with no slop or over travel. I also like the dial for the illuminated reticle that has 11 brightness settings with an off mark between each one. And the internal mechanics work perfectly...just doing the box test was like watching a miracle unfold! And when you turn on the reticle it is the only thing that is illuminated...not the whole inside of the scope tube! And I like the fact that it has 110 MOA Elevation available, and 64 MOA Windage. It has a Zero Stop that is super easy to set, and it is purged with Argon Gas which not only keeps it waterproof but also prevents it from fogging up when you take it from your warm truck out into the cold, and all of a sudden you see a trophy squirrel staring right at you from an oak tree just yards away!
Here are some photos of my new Cronus Scope and Cantilever Mount perched upon my beloved Helga...this could be your Holy Grail of Rifle Scopes- it certainly is mine! I am so blessed to have it mounted on my FX Impact .30 cal...which I consider to be the Holy Grail of Air Rifles!
All the best from me to you, Chuck
