ATAMAN M2 carbine air port flow

Hi, some days ago I bought an Ataman M2 carbine in .22 cal. For some legislation reasons it came underpowered .To decrease the power Ataman (or the dealer) has put an hex screw in the transfert port of the breech ,with a very small hole in the screw, thus reducing the air flow.Removing that screw gives the gun its full power.But..that means that the transfert port is now threaded, when the screw has been removed , so my question is: is it possible that the thread in the transfert port could decrease the air flow in some way , turbulences or drag , for example. Do you think it could be worth to remove the threads by drilling the port?

This is a bit technical , but if anybody has an idea , he's welcome.

All m2 had that screw

to remove screw u needs first to remove barrel then remove screw on rail next to magazine and exactly under this screw u had screw in transfer port
