❓At what max. velocities are you shooting hollow point pellets?

At what maximum velocities are you shooting hollow point pellets — and still get accuracy?



I'm interested in .22cal — and maybe you could define "accuracy"....

Something like this:

▪H&N Terminator: 920fps: @ 40y 1.3" groups (5 shots)

or:

▪Hades: 980fps: at 30y quarter size groups (10 shots)





I'm interested in any .22cal hollow point incl. those with detaching tip (Polymag, Hornet, Red Fire).



Thanks! I'm working on a performance chart for hollow point pellets so users can make better decisions on which pellets to use at which velocities — for accuracy and for expansion.

LOTS of people say around 880fps is the magic number.... HOWEVER. My FX Crown with 380mm barrel shoots 16gr hades at 960fps at the muzzle. And the accuracy is as good as I could ever hope or ask for. Better actually. So that is where it stays. Gun shoots 18gr jsbs at 920fps on that tune. I will get around to testing crow magnums as some point, but has not happened yet.
