Tough question Matt. Not my gun, gave it back, so was not able to really compare. May can do later. Will see if I can do a heads to heads later on. Probably biased towards the Vet though.

Thank you Christian. Just a small correction, the HST adjuster is actually accessed by taking the stock off and is not at the back of the action.
The Uragáns are very good PCPs. I’ve tuned a .22 Compact for 32 FPE so the little guy can bring the heat if called upon. That little bottle (210cc) with the AGT fabulous reg, at 32 FPE, produced 50 shots from a 300 bar fill

Nice review Christian! Had my hands on the big brother before and very very nice guns. Would have likely owned the compact now but wanted the quick ability to adjust HS and like Derrick mentioned it's under the stock. But nice guns nonetheless.

I have stated this before, to me, the Uragan compact is the best looking of the line. One in 177 would be a good indoor pesting gun, and hopefully one day I have one in my collection.

I would tell the owner to throw that Recon 360 bipod as far away as possible. They have very soft locking tabs and will eventually without warning slip and dump the gun right off the bench.
I had one dump a rather expensive gun off the bench and took the bipod apart and was shocked to see the ultra soft locking tabs. I eventually milled the tabs and inserted steel stubs in them.
I gave up and ordered an accu-tac.
Cheap bipods are nice, but not if they destroy a 1000-2000 USD gun! GRRRR!!!

I keep thinking of wrapping my Uragan Compact, but haven't as of now.

I've got nothing but good things to say about my .22 Compact. Right now set for the H&N 18s @ 800 fps. Nice groups at ~40 yards. Haven't really tried for BR type groups, but just tossing the gun on a bag I'm seeing 1/2" as realistic with a solid setup. Very nice airgun.
