I am reviewing this affordable Entry level PCP for Wes of AirGunArcheryFun. It is the Artemis M16A, .22 calibre high power version.
To be honest, I didn't know anything about this gun before getting my hands on it. I am learning as I go and hopefully I will be able to share my findings with you.
This is a regulated PCP that comes with a 10 shots magazine and a single loading tray with an option to upgrade to a carbon fibre bottle.
I learned about this gun from a friend who suggested that I contact Wes and offer to do a free review for him. To my delight, my wish was granted and Wes actually proposed a payment for my review which I politely declined. I was just happy to be able to play with a new toy.
I was mainly curious to see if an entry level and affordable PCP will be just as accurate and reliable to shoot as my other more expensive guns like my FX, Daystate and AirArm.
I searched the web and found some older videos done by others and they mentioned the gun was decent. So this was my opportunity to test and find out for myself.
Here are my initial thoughts after spending half a day shooting it last Sunday at the farm. My target distance was at 35 yards and it was shooting pretty good with 1/2" 5 shots group so far straight out of the box. The regulator and hammer spring can be adjusted and I am sure with the right adjustments, the groups would get tighter.
I will be doing 50 yards and further accuracy test in the coming weeks. So sit back and enjoy this Part 1 review of this Artemis M16A.
If someone is looking for an affordable PCP, this gun is definitely worth a look.
Cheers.
