Armada coming Monday...

I got the .25 cal combo for $502 on crosman.com, using promo code AGNATION for 25% off. That comes in well under pyramid air’s price.

I wanted the magpul edition but it was not available on their website. At the end of the day, I dont need magpul, nice as it may be, I do not have any ARs so it is kinda moot anyways.

I have a dive shop around the corner from me - literally a left turn light, and one traffic light. Gonna see if they can fill it for me - $5 per fill, and see how well it operates.

Once Im satisfied, I plan to get a Yong Heng and fill it directly. No immediate need for a tank.

Watching some youtube videos, a good pro tip is to get a 30 minute SCBA tank. Supposedly it fits right under a gun bipod, making it a convenient pony keg for bench shooting. Wont crowd you and gets a few fills.

I dont think i will need any kind of tank for longterm storage - a $7 adapter gets you a direct connection to the gun from the compressor, and a 30 second refill time from 2000 to 3000. Supposedly. Not bad for $350...

I would get the tank and hose assy first. Let the dive shop fill that for $5. Will save you many trips. Sounds kind of dangerous letting them fill directly to the gun? They might overfill it and mess something up?

I went the Shoebox route. Wasn't but a few months and it started giving me trouble.

Contacted my local welding supply and had them bring out a huge 6000 psi tank of nitrogen. I fill my 30 minute SCBA tanks from that and use them to fill my guns. Costs me $115 a year to rent the tank. When it gets down to around 3000 psi I just call the company and they come out and exchange the bottle with a fresh one. That costs roughly $160 , but will last me by myself 8 months with all the shooting I do. I gotta friend to share the costs with now and the worst we've done is use a bottle in 4 months. Nice fast fills to my SCBA bottles. Nice dry air. And I don't have to go anywhere ;-)

Heck, the way we look at it, you can never have enough tanks. I have 3 SCBA tanks and a Guppy. Paul has 2 SCBA tanks and a pony bottle. Not gonna hurt those tanks to stay filled. Heck if I was you I would rather have a couple of tanks and get them filled at the dive shop instead of getting a compressor and worrying about maintenance and upkeep on it. Plus you have to worry about condensation entering your gun with those small compressors. With that dive shop air, you shouldn't have any condensation at all.

Congrats! Your going to love it... I really like mine. I put in a war valve and am currently just having fun chasing tunes, but it shot a really flat string stock. Accurate with all kinds of pellets and a few bullets out to 40,.. that's as far as I've shot it so far. I did the same thing.. used the agnation code and got it from crosman, same one, not the magpul. That's a great deal with the discount and much obliged to agnation for it. A lot of people say they are heavy but I didn't find it to be very heavy at all. Have fun shooting!!
