Arlington TX Field Target Match 3/26/2017

This one is the "Seat of our pants" Open. Our fearsome leader (Jeff) is going to design the course and let the animals run the zoo (Brad and Scott, and probably Terry), so come out and have some fun. This might be a good tune up for anyone planning to attend the Cajun Spring Classic.

March 26th (Sunday)
Gates open at 9 for sight in and registration.
Shooters meeting at 10 with a 60 shot field target rifle match to follow.
(Note: This is an hour later than usual because I've always felt like we start the matches too early to accommodate our out-of-towners. And because I don't feel like getting up so early on a Sunday.)

Cost is $10 for guests, $5 for club members.

Can you tell me what calibers will be allowed for the match?

Well, any airgun under 20 foot pounds. Smallest kill zone is 3/8 inch, so anything over a .25 is not going to be practical. Most people shoot .177 for field target because of the flatter trajectory, but people have shot .20 and .22 as well.

We also have a fun rifle class that is pretty much wide open (but still under 20 foot pounds). It's designed for beginners and scores face plate hits as well as kill zone hits.
