Arken Zulus or Pard or ATN or Hicmicro ? for ratting with a snowpeak P35

Hello all,

Last week I finally got a Snowpeak P35 in .22 from Krale after waiting for a couple of months. (great service as usual by the way). In the mean time I was investigating night vision rifle scopes. My first choice was a Arken Zulus basic. I don't need a range finder etc. But lo and behold.. it seems impossible to buy one in Holland.

arkenoptics.com does not enable one to order whatever, https://arken-optics.eu does but the credit card company does not allow one to finish the deal. https://arken-optics.eu is situated in Bulgaria, maybe https://arken-optics.eu is just a scam?

Anyways, maybe forget a Arken Zulus and buy an alternative? What do you recommend?

Cheers from Holland. And no, I don't like raw herring, pickled herring rocks.

What about Camera Land in NY or Optics Warehouse? I don't know much about sources in Holland. But I would want the Zulus with the rangefinder. I have 3 P35s and I really like them but I do not like having to hold over for short shots. The Zulus will adjust your point of aim for you if you have the rangefinder. Seems like it could be really useful. But you will probably have to wait awhile to get a Zulus. Seems like another hit for Arken.

The Bulgarian Arken site had a payment glitch, it was sorted yesterday.

The site is legit, he delivered a dozen or so zulus this week to my Bulgarian colleagues.

The guy posts updates etc on a Bulgarian air rifle forum.

no experience with the arken ... they will all get the job done, but atn is superior to pard ... a rangefinder is a cool toy but with a properly zeroed airgun its not needed for shots under 50y, i generally dont have time to range anyway when a shot presents itself on a pest ... and the simplicity, ruggedness, and image quality is what makes the atn better .. ive found, generally, that the 'night vision' aspect is going to work fine with most systems.. its that logistical advantage as per the above mentioned factors that distinguishes them ...

Thanks for replying Spinach,

tried again a couple of minutes ago, no luck, different error; 3d security blabla. Looks like the security hand shake between the payment provider and my bank goes wrong or never reaches that level...

Send the guy a email, his English is excellent.

Probably the best chance of getting a Zulus in EU.

I do know he was updating a website protocol or something, it was related to payments.

I'm not connected to the Arken EU site, I'm simply aware that it's a new operation and guys I know have received what they ordered.

The site owner is a member of a forum I'm a member of.

Good luck 👍.
If you want help PM me, no problem.

This idea of having a properly zeroed pcp only works when your shooting higher speeds. Not all like to shoot fast my rat and mouse pcp is 10fpe and my other is 19fpe and having a lrf and ballistics is amazing. With that said to answer the OP question the zulus will out perform all the ones you mentioned. Not saying they are not good but I have been testing night scopes for about 3 years and the zulus is the best bang for the buck. I would do your research and try and see if you can figure out how to get one. If you have any specific questions or anything I can help with just ask.

Have zero long term experience with NV scopes, but am currently loving my Zulus. The form factor is undeniably awesome, the controls to me? Very intuitive and easy to use. The way it sexily sits atop my Atomic XR? Simply 🙀. My Zulus is on a dedicated gun, a specialized scope/rig for specific purposes…

Here is an update,

The manager from https://arken-optics.eu/ , Mitko Slavov told me that his site is now ready to receive orders from at least all EU countries. He has ordered a batch of Zulus, expects them to arrive end of this month.

Meanwhile, I got a message from Krale https://www.krale.shop/en/sport-shooting , they expect a batch of Zulus very soon. So, to wrap it up; I ordered a ZHD520R - ZULUS HD 5-20X Digital Night Vision Scope With Laser Rangefinder And Ballistic Calculator and payed a little sum in advance.

Glad this crusade ended ;) Let the rat games begin !

Special thanks to @Spinach for his Bulgarian sales information and to @brawler1588 , Brawler: because of your advise I chose the Zulus with the rangefinder and ballistic calculator, much appreciated.

Cheers everyone.

Have a good weekend.

PL.

That's great news it's takes a little more to get it going as in terms of adding the ballistic data and what not but the image quality makes it all work it. Feel free to reach out once it arrives and I can go over the basics with you.
