are we clear ?

just installed a clear glass aperture in my front globe sight . clear glass with a 3.0 hole . WOW what a difference i can see the whole target im shooting instead of just the 8,9,10 ,x with the old ring metal aperture that came with the gun , thick central, ring blocked most of the target i was sighting . Now i see the target much brighter and easy to adjust the X in the center.
Note. i ordered a set of inserts from Lee Shaver , very nice product ,, like looking at a spider web thickness of inserts , but i ordered the wrong size (trading in for right size in progress .
Added note : had to unscrew front globe , clear insert to thick to drop in slot . but fit in barrel

Do you mean clear plastic, that's all I see. I have had a plastic diopter in the front globe of my FWB 300s that came with it about 40 years ago It has yellowed a bit, so some new ones might be in order.
oops Sorry , yes plastic was looking at glass but found these plastic ,so i thought i would try less costly to see if i liked it , and i do like the sight .

Well been shooting the FWB 600 with the clear insert in the front barrel sight , WOW what a difference , the old insert was like a small washer looking thing so hard to find target bull. This is like a window with a spot in the center to aim with

if a person wanted to you could cut a circle from a clear plastic candy container and drill a small hole in the center to trail fit on the cheap and you get to eat the candy first .😁

Champions choice has a set of clear inserts that fit 18mm front on 300's and 601, at least mine. The set of ten range from 2.2mm to 4.0mm.
