Are there ANY semi-auto PCP rifles that are tack drivers?

I have been excited about getting a semi-auto PCP rifle. Preferably in .25 caliber. However, every video review I see of the current offerings show double-feeds/jams with some pellets and unacceptably bad groupings. Bad grouping go all the way from 8 good shots and 2 wild flyers, to 6 inch groups at 20 yards.

Does anyone currently market (and have available stock, and not future dreams), an accurate PCP semi-auto which is accurate and not plagued with jams and double feeds?

Ditto on the Steyr.

1000’s of rounds and not one single jam or malfunction.

You nailed it!!!!! They ALL look lame to me. That's the reason I don't have one.

Semi-auto with only 5 shot is a no go for me on the Steyr in .177 or .22 cal. I think that they are probably the best built semi-auto currently available.

The Huben may be your best or only choice that I have seen in .25 cal........Accuracy ??? Availability ??? How knows.

Personally I think the Kalibrgun Colibri was one of the best non semi designs. (only .22 cal. though) It was supposed to be a semi-auto until it's release.

The Colibris extremely easy short cocking stroke, comfortably placed were it should be for a right hand shooter is very fast for follow up shots. Never loose your scope view while cocking, and it's the most accurate gun I own. Very sub MOA.

That's why I would recommend to cross your fingers and hope that maybe Kalibrgun will someday actually release their mythical promised semi-auto.

I just wouldn't hold my breath is all.....😕

Navnesen,

Your Steyr is beautiful! Can you tell us more about it? Can you also tell us more about accuracy at distance w/pellet/velocity. Firing directly from the mag, without being advanced into the breech? Isn't that similar to the Umarex Hammer system?

Don't know anything about Umarex Hammer but yes it fires directly from the mag. 820 fps with 13.43gr Jsb. Great accuracy out to 60 meters, after that groups start to open up. Stock is made by Gary Cane in the UK.

+1 on the Colibri. Bought one brand new when Wild West AG's had them and thousands of pellets later, I haven't even changed a single oring since I got it. Very accurate, too. Back the OP's question, looking at the Capybara, Im not a fan of the new square barrel assembly, but if its a true semi-auto, and behaves like the Colibri, I will give it a hard look for sure. The 18-shot all metal magazine looks like a winner, too.

Here's a good vid...wish it was in English, though.
