What about gamo urban barrel on a notos - though ive heard of that being done - a people say the BSA/Gamo barrels are very nice and what make the urban shine

I do not know about the gamo urban barrel but I followed the path described by genob in post #16 and after searching for some time, I was lacky and found a used 5.5mm tormenta barrel. It is 8 centimeters approximately longer than the notos barrel and with minimal effort and work, like genob explains in his post, I installed it and that gave me approximately 34 to 36 more FPS and it is as accurate as the notos barrel.

Yes C88 machining sells this kit. You can order the FX liner from Utah Airguns. You can also find @ Firewalker ( a member here) that can install this kits for you if that's what you want. An alternative is using Turkish barrel available from Canada shooting Supply, this requires some fitting and machining thou.

I've tried few steel barrels, cut the shoulder back and fitted them to the Notos but nothing approaches the original Notos barrel except for the FX barrel kit from c88machining.
I've got the .25 FX kit installed and the 1:18 liner, it's killin it at 50 yards with 36gr slugs.
The downside is the expense. And you will need to port the gun in order to make use of any longer barrel.

I don't know which model BSA barrel you have in mind, but the Urban will not work without major machining. O.D. is 15.5 mm and will be too heavy if you don't turn down the full length. The pickle end is reduced down to 12.10 mm and splined. I have one take out when I made this Urban into a Suburban, lol. Lother Walther 24" barrel with internal moderator.
