Are HW97 V-Mach accessories worth it?

I’m looking to get an HW97K sometime this year and will probably get it from Krale. I also see a few accessories pop up, and since it’s cheaper to buy all at once (shipping cost is about the same) I’m wondering if some of these are worth the cost. Some of these are not cheap.

So, I would appreciate any info if anyone has first hand experience or knowledge of these.

Thanks!

I am probably misunderstanding the resettable safety but I was under the impression that it allows one to move it to fire and then RETURN to safe without recocking. I'm not sure if it prevents the auto setting of the safety but I could well be wrong. I would test it but the HW97 is in the back of my safe and it's 20 degrees here tonight. If someone else doesn't chime in with a specific answer I'll check it tomorrow.

Never considered any of the other V-mach products but I did look at the compression chamber/piston setup when I first got my HW97. Quite expensive but reviews were generally excellent. Never did buy it. All those you show look nice but how much would they improve performance?

Thanks for the input. Precisely because I don’t know how much performance improvement I can get is why I’m asking. That, and there’s really no reviews I can find out there on these.

Send your rifle to John in PA. Enough said!

Matt

Turns out there are several hundred Johns in PA, which one do I send it to? Why? What will he do for my rifle? Can you expand a wee bit on that? & in any case, I’m still curious about these V-Mach products. Thanks.

*Edit: So perhaps I live under a rock, after doing a little research I found out about John in PA. Thanks for the tip. I may reach out to him if/when I get the gun.

Thanks for all the information on John, I appreciate it. Looking forward to your results.

I am however still interested to have information on these V-Mach items. If anyone has any input on the subject I will be very grateful. For example: The Trigger unit is nice, but the tuner can get you the same results or better for less than half the price. Or The Muzzle break made the gun very quiet and less jumpy, totally worth the price of admission.

Thanks in advance.

Reads like it is something you want to try so barring money issues , just do it.

Or,

I know someone who used a 97 for FT. Purchased a known excellent shooter - used rifle- then had Paul Watts , David Slade and Allen Z work on it each with there "specialty" work done to it. Seemed odd as all get out to me to have all three do different thing he want ( and any of the 3 could have done all the work but ...) .

It was indeed the finest grouping 97 I have ever fired.

The price ( not counting all the shipping and he liked to use a pelican case for shipping so $$$ ) it cost less than the accessories you listed and had paperwork increasing value..

So for Xamount you can get all the goodies and have them installed ( or DIY which is fun but will have no or even lower resale value which may not matter to you)

or for X amount you could have the very best US tuner ( s ) build it exactly your way.

Keep us posted.
