Are Gauntlet 177 @ 22 pellet probe seals the same?

So I ordered from urmarex the pellet probe o rings for my gauntlet 2 22. Pricey for sure so I got a dozen. When received the invoice product code was for a 177 caliber and the o rings looked so small. So I called C. Farrell back at urmarex he was the one who I ordered from and he told me that the o rings for 22 and 177 are the same size- that it doesn’t matter!!!! Hmmmm! They we really hard to get on- 3 split while installing and after sweating it out I got 2 on and consider amount of blow by! Have I been lied to from a manufacture Rep???

I am sure you're upset with the rep but I'd focus more on a solution then creating more problems. Do you have a caliper or a way to measure the current (undersized) o-ring so you can perhaps just order one size up from that to try? O-rings should be cheap, I order mine personally from grainger and pick them up at their store locally for around 1-2$ per 50-100... food for thought.

According to specs the id and od and cs info is different for 177 and 22. More or less I tossed 35 bucks out the window- and I do have a digital caliber- I just don’t have anything to compare it to. Thanks for the reply:)

Go look at this thread, response #9 has the information on your Gauntlet you are looking for. Yes indeed the probe O rings are different for a 177 and 22.

Call Umarex back and be nice, but don't take NO for an answer. They sent you the wrong O rings and charged you an incredibly RUDE amount of money for them. If they refuse to make it right then dispute the charge on your credit card.

BTW, this is what the O ring should cost... that's right, 4 cents each. Even with the 50 piece minimum and 7 bucks shipping you are still under $10... and you've got 50 of them!

Good luck.

Well I called urmarex today and actually they answered- must of been caller no 1. And again talked to the same dude and he was nice and he reaffirmed that o rings were same size for 177 and 22. So I voiced very nicely ( hard to do) that I was not satisfied with the order and he said they would re- ship the whole order!! We will see if he sends me the same o ring- micro— everywhere I look - captain oring and other places states even the spec sheets are in conflict with what umarex tells me on size differences…. Dudes! This is a no go in my area of operation!!!! Word! Thanks for all inputs will post when received next shipment!! Out
