Are FX Impact & FX Maverick Barrels and Shrouds Interchangeable?

Great Question!
The FX Maverick shroud is longer than the FX Impact shroud of the same caliber/barrel length. So technically, yes, an Impact shroud for the corresponding barrel length can go onto a Maverick, but not visa versa. The Maverick shroud for the corresponding barrel length will not fit an Impact, as it will be too long to thread onto the barrel.

Hey so just to clarify, I could buy an impact barrel kit and it would fit on to my maverick with no problem or modifications? I just got a maverick; my first fx gun and am a bit confused by all the different barrels and liners and what fits with what.

Yes the impact barrel will work on the maverick. But the maverick barrel won’t work on the impact, unless you cut the shroud down.

Also it appears the Crown has a long shroud so perhaps it could be cut down to fit a Maverick?

No. A FX Crown SuperLight barrel will not fit an Impact. The Impact barrel has an inner barrel within the shroud (with the barrel liner inside that). The Crown SuperLight barrels do not have the inner barrel, just the liner with large O rings to center it within the shroud.
