About Mac1 and my Benjamin, but he texted me a minute ago, and my rifle is officially in his hot little, talented hands!!!

He also said that a steriod @ 6 pumps is roughly equal to a stock 392 @ 8 pumps (+/- 13 foot pounds) and a steriod can be pumped 14 times for 23 foot pounds!!!

I'm definitely getting a chronograph to do a bunch of testing (playing around) 😉

Of course, you know that with the Steroid Package, it's a tad tougher to pump those fewer pumps, right?
I have a Steroid Sheridan and while it's not a problem, it is tougher to put those pumps in.
A friend, who is 90 years old, used to be able to pump it, but can no longer get past 2 pumps now, if that (yes, I understand that 90 is advanced age).
Just a friendly tip.

I also am having the extended pump arm installed, which Tim says lowers pumping effort by 25%.

As soon as the rifle is on its way home, I'm going to order a cheap chronograph from Amazon and test the velocities from 1 to 10 pumps with a CPHP 14.3 gr pellet - because that's the pellet used in the chart I have for the standard Benjamin. But I'll do 11 - 14 pumps too, just to see how much difference those 4 pumps make (and how hard they are to do).

The CPHP pellets are only 0.1 gr heavier than the RWS Super H Points, so the FPS / FPE should be identical. Then I have the Crow Magnums @ 18.21 gr, and the Baracuda Hunter Extremes @ 18.52 gr to test.

Unless they fit overly tight you will see even higher energy from the heavier pellets. I look forward to seeing those numbers.

I've already been plugging imaginary FPS numbers into a ballistic calculator, and did notice that trend. Heavier = higher FPE, at a slight decline in FPS.

I look forward to seeing the actual numbers myself.

I had a 392 built with extended pump arm and billet mechanism. I think that the 2-stroke advantage over OEM is correct. I've never pumped to 14 strokes as that resembles work. I am very pleased with this gun and need to see if he can fit in a 397 that I have.

I did several trials using 3pumps up to 8pumps and the trajectory for each group was really very reproducible. I keep that with the gun, so I know where I am hitting at given ranges. To be honest, I never needed more power than 7 or 8 pumps gives me with the Williams peeps.

I'm one of those "Need to know" types, so I'll have to pump it 14 times for at least 3 shots, so I can see what it does.

Guve Tim a shout, he got mine in really quick.
