Just got off the phone with Darren at Airguns of Arizona. Don't want to get into specifics, but had an issue with a recently purchased item (no fault of AOA at all) that would require warranty service. The nature of the problem, though, made me question whether or not the product was right for me at all. Discussed this with Darren, and he immediately issued an RMA for the item. What's more, he agreed to let me use what I paid for the item to go another direction, minus a very small restocking fee (& I do mean small, what I consider more than fair to the consumer given that what they're taking back is, let's face it, used). He could have rightfully insisted that AOA would honor the warranty through repair/replacement, & no more. And I wouldn't have been upset about it- they're under no obligation to do anything else.
This is not the first time they've dealt fairly with me- several years ago, purchased item item through them that was drop shipped to me, & non-functioning right out of the box. Again, no fault of AOA. They agreed to issue a full refund, without making me jump through hoops. And again, they could have just agreed to repair/replace the item, but they seem to understand that sometimes your confidence in a product is lost & unrecoverable, when you experience problems right away with a brand new unit.
Was a short & painless phone call, maybe 5-6 minutes, but it was crystal clear that he not only wanted to do what was necessary , he wanted a happy customer as well. And he has one!
