Weren’t these discontinued back in 2019/18? I wonder if this is a batch of unsold RWS guns that have been sitting in storage somewhere…

It’s essentially the same rifle as the Diana Airking and 54. The key differences were the stock design and instead of a smooth bluing it was done in a matte finish - if I remember correctly.
It is definitely not a gun for hunting due to weight, but for field target it’s weight is a plus.

Because they’re paring back their product line. Demand for PCP guns is much higher than for springers. And Diana was sold 8 years ago to a larger gun company which generally means profit before all else.
