Anyone using the add on plenum and new power plenum together on their Impact?

Would love to hear from anyone using the power plenum in addition to the additional plenum that hangs down and screws into the regulator gauge hole. Looks like I need a new valve rod so thought why not just install the power plenum in addition to the existing power plenum.

What are you looking for out of the gun? I understand more efficient air use but speed is not necessary a good thing. A lot of times I think that it’s one or other. I believe that accuracy comes first and then efficiently. That’s just my opinion

Got all the speed I need already just thought since I need a new valve rod why not just install the new FX power plenum. Just wanted to make sure it would not hurt anything. I have been told I might be able to reduce my regulator pressure and get the same velocity. Less pressure means less stress on the gun, right?

I do not have the power plenum yet but looking forward to installing. I just want efficiency, no more power that is my only goal. But that’s just my opinion of my needs.

When you have more power available you can shoot heavy ammo at the same speed as the light stuff. Its not like theres only 1 or 2 weights for each caliber.

I have much respect for all opinions! I have found my area of comfort with the ammo that my gun prefers. Now with that being if someone has both going back to the original question, it’s just an answer to the question that has not been answered yet?

Its been done before with no gains over a single big plenum. Maybe with the .35 but the valve and ports only flow so much even in .30.

You'd gain a few shots with the added volume at any rate.

I saw in another post that the Huma High Flow Dual Hole Transfer Port is worth as much as 100fps. That means more power for heavier ammo!

I have the duel port transfer port and pin probe already. My question is is there any negative to adding the power plenum when I already have a eternal plenum modification. Was hoping someone was using both so I could get some first hand knowledge. thanks

IME you can, but you need a heavier hammer and spring, optimal is 50-80cc depending the cal, power plenum and .30 cal you get 120 fpe .35 you get 140fpe but it has a different spring and hammer.

Power Plenum is all you need unless you want more power (like shooting 70gn .30 slugs @ 930fps)

Is there any negative? valve will not open ok due the extra volume against it (unless you have more hammer weight, but more weight will not fit good on the hammer). Also, with the power plenum you have a different valvehousing, and you need to modify that too if you want to operate with an external plenum, if not the external plenum will not work properly.
