Anyone use a air stripper / muzzle break?

Still on my quest to make my Canadian FX .25 crown as quiet as possible.

I received a suggestion to use an air stripper. I looked on youtube quickly but much of the videos are in a foreign language.

Wondering if anyone here has used one or what your thoughts are?

the air stripper I use does not make rifle quiet,it forces air away from pellet making it more accurate...

Real muzzle/functional brakes make the gun louder. They just help with the recoil/muzzle flip at the expense of high volume. I was shooting at the range the guy beside me had only a .243 but sitting beside a few feet away with plugs and muffs on I was getting pounded everytime he shot.

Why dont you just shoot it with heavies at 550-650? itll be quiet as we can get in Canada. (legally) You can shoot the gun accurately enough to hunt within 40-50m.

Is it a muzzle break or an air stripper. There is a difference.

Go here and pick one and the adapter. DonnyFL makes great silencers/LDC. I have the Sumo on my Prod and the hammer makes more noise than te shot.

Yeah it is what it is, if you want it quiet turn down the power that's basically all we can do. Neither a brake or stripper will make it quieter.

The Crown is a quite gun but in 25cal probably not so much. I don't know if they are legal here in Califonia but donny sent it to me. So the shroud on the Crown is nothing more than air volume without baffles right? Does that mean you could use a longer one or does the part need to be a factory part? My Mrod has baffles built in and I can buy a longer shroud to add more but nobody wants a longer gun.

The US model of the Crown I'm sure is quiet. Here I think we just get a muzzle brake like I have on my royale

The Crown maybe has a shrouded end of the barrel but no extendable moderator. The Canadian marauder has no baffles in the shroud lol. Its considered a firearm here so whether its loud or quiet makes little difference. To me anyways

WOW. We are almost as bad here in Califonia. I see other countries have power limits too. The USA varies so much from state to state with firearms but I think they leave AG's alone.

Yeah so far haha. Thankfully we don't have power restrictions at least, but anything over 500fps with even a .177 its suddenly a deadly firearm.

I'm sure the US will catch up with AGs soon. Heck, look at the UK with the knife problem. There will always be a way to take a life. Our country hasn't figured out the criminals don't care about any law even gun laws. The whole world seems inside out any more to me. ;(

I am able to twist it and pull it forward.. I have pulled off the outer shroud. There is only the barrel underneath.

What does the USA one have that my CDN one doesn't?

By pulling the shroud forward the gun should get quieter?
