With a First Focal Plane (FFP) scope, the size of the reticle should stay consistent with the size of the observed object at all magnifications, i.e. The horizontal bars of the reticle should stay at the same landmarks on the deer (nose, shoulder, belly) at both magnifications. This is why holdover calculations remains the same at all magnifications with a FFP scope. Crossman should hire artists who understand what they are painting, or simply use a real photograph.
