Well, boys, the Huma reg worked. Check out these strings from Daniel's gun over the weekend. This was in about 40 degree weather, too. The 70 shot string has a double feed and that is why there is a 622FPS shot and messed up SD because of it. Both strings were started from 300 bar in the tank. This is the raw data:

After shot 70, how much air was left in the tank?

I think he said 180. I was messing with the Skout while he was playing with that thing. Not sure, to be honest. I'll ask him and edit this if he remembers.
Installed and added the fill port.
Where'd you get the dope fill port? Looks way better than the stupidly long fill probe. Does it have like a screw or something holding it in from the other side, also?

You don’t need a screw to hold a probe in. I’ve had fill probes sticking out of some of my guns for years.
Me too.
The o-rings do a pretty good job of keeping the probe in place, during handling and use. I use the vinyl cap (Caplugs) to cover the opening. Lowes, Home Depot, etc. carries them.

I've only taken some out because of the angle that are set at, and the tightness (gun to gun !) in my safe !

Just grab a Huma. My gun arrived at UA on Thursday. If they get the power back to where it should be, depending on how stable their settings are when I get it back will determine what I do. I know what I want to do when I get it back but I don’t have a problem staying with the gen 2 block and reg if it’s stable from fill to refill. But I’m not holding my breath. I’m prepared to go back to my old setup with a Huma added because I know it worked perfectly.

Hey guys wow what a thread. So glad their is such a strong community looking out for us. Ultimately this will make the vendors do a better job at QC and bring us better products. So good for you for pointhinf this out to those of that really wouldn't know better other than just poor performance.

I had this gun at the top of my list but this thread made me reconsider purchasing. So is the reg creeping issue completely resolved with the Huma regulator? Is AirMarks swapping out the regs OR do you have to go out and purchase on on your own and swap it out? These arnt cheap at $160!

Is UG swapping these out before shipping? I called them not to long ago asking for a Plinking / target PCP rifle and they highly recommended this gun. Based on the issues being reported kind of makes we wonder whos interest is at heart with UG?

I just want to know if I buy a new Krait am I going to have issues which would require me to spend another $160 out of my own pocket to get it working (huma)as it should or is it now fixed and UG is now shipping fixed guns?

Also does this issue apply to all AirMarks PCP's or just the Krait? Would this apply to the Katran L?

Note Im a total noon just trying to figure out if I should take this gun off my list of potential options.

I received my new monoblock with the updated regulator for my Krait few weeks ago. I gave the new regulator internals some tuning before testing it. What I did was polishing both sides edge of the spring washers with 3M Polishing Paper starting form 3000 grit, 5000 grit then 8000 grit to remove any imperfections. I did the same to the conical part regulator piston by attaching the piston to a power drill, to protected the piston from damages by the chuck I slip a PTFE tube over the piston before attaching it to the chuck. The last thing I did was change the sprint washer stacks from the factory stack which was Piston===] (())(())(() [=] adjustment screw to Piston ===] ()()()()()) [=] adjustment screw.
I set the regulator for 98 bar and with the bottle at 250 bar for a week no creeps. Here is my shot string from this morning :) Not bad at all.

Now do a 25 shot string down to about 10b above your regs set point. Maybe start your string with only 150b in the tank. A Prod will shoot a nice 25 shot string if you fire those 25 shots when the bottle/tube pressure is up. My Krait would do a short internet shot string. It just didn’t look so pretty when I got down to 170b in the tank.
I will drop the tank pressure down to 150b and let the gun seat over night and do another 25 shots tomorrow.

Thanks Jack, now I know a lower reg setting doesn’t help this gun. Your average speed was 842 with 200+ bar in the tank and now your average speed is 827 with under 150 bar in the tank. My gun was doing the same thing as the tank emptied and there was no way to tune around it like a normal gun. It’s not unusual for a regs set point to drop as the tank empties. That’s why we tune the hammer at 3-5% below the plateau. All of my single reg guns will maintain their speed as the set point gets lower as the tank empties. Not this gun. I appreciate your honest data. I don’t believe that all the guys that claim to have a “great Krait” truly do. If you always shoot the gun like it’s unregulated, because this regulated gun actually has a curve, it might perform fine. But that’s dumb. Why have a regulated gun that’s only stable for 50 bar. Good grief.
