Anyone try .216" JSB Knockouts through original .22 ST barrel?

I have had .216 and .217 KO pellets that are basically the same size. .2162 vs .2164 respectively.

Slugs from the big manufacturers are no different than the pellets....meaning that what is printed on the label as the size is meaningless. At least slugs are easy to measure with a micrometer without damage.

They also suffer from being out of round just like most pellets. The JSB and HN are made in a split die....so they are typically not consistently round.

I’ll add that while I have no reason not to believe the above, since Mike N has never led me down the wrong path, the empirical data in my DS RW HP leads me to believe without a doubt the .216 and .217 perform much differently. I shot at least five 5 shot groups at 50 yards with the .216 and the average group size was about 1.5 inches. Then I shot five 5 shot groups with the .217 and every group could be completely covered by a dime. All groups shot straight from the tin with no sorting... FWIW. Performance at 100 yards with the .217 rivaled the RD Monster pellets.
