Anyone know of a hardcase for 2 rifles?

Bought one at Harbor Fright. $100 on sale so better than the 20 percent coupon. Don’t forget to use a Free coupon. It might hold two rifles if you are careful in placement. The pluck foam doesn’t really allow for placing the rifle at an angle. It could be done if you take your time. I would prefer a solid piece of foam and then cut to shape. Not thrilled with the pluck foam.

I have also been looking at cases. A couple I am considering are: Plano All Weather Double: https://www.amazon.com/Plano-Weather-Rifle-Shotgun-Black/dp/B07B7ZB484/ref=dp_ob_title_sports  , and the Pelican V800 https://www.amazon.com/Vault-Double-Rifle-Case-Foam/dp/B00745TVNQ/ref=sr_1_3?crid=GOY3MXC4EA4O&keywords=pelican+v800+double-rifle+case&qid=1560555365&s=sporting-goods&sprefix=pelican+V800%2Csporting%2C209&sr=1-3

I have seen the Pelican's go on sale at Midway occasionally for about $50 less than Amazon. I did look at the Plano today at a local sportings good place, and it seemed pretty sturdy although it did have the pluck out foam.

This may stir the pot a little for those name brand folks.

I agree, go to Harbor Freight. Buy the Apache 9800. Use the coupon. Then get online and source some closed cell styrofoam. That plug foam is “ok” at best. Does it get the job done? Yes. But, being open cell styrofoam, it WILL absorb ANY moisture in the air or off your equipment. Spend the ~$30 for a dimensional cut piece of CLOSEDCELL foam. There are multiple retailers online.

For those that may have the beliefs of these Hf Apache cases being weaker than the Pelicans...obviously you haven’t had your hands on one. I ran mine over with my 3rd gen 4runner. In the middle and length ways. I didn’t break.

Now...for the finer point. You want a case that will allow for storage of two rifles. I don’t know what you have. I do know what I have. I have a MKii Wildcat .22 I pulled the plugs to accommodate the bullpup W/ bipod and scope attached. And with my configuration, one rifle and a few accessories is all I will be able to put in there.

Yes, there is a lot of room left. But trying to keep balance is a issue also. Lol these cases are HEAVY!

The pad lock tabs are thick and metal “reinforced”. You can’t beat it for the price.

i hope this helps.

edit: I just reread your post, as skinny vertically as the talon and condor are, you should have zero issues getting both into one of these cases. Sorry about that VWbug

This is what I use. It easily fits 2 of my largest scoped rifles (~44 inch length). It is much faster to load and unload then traditional flat cases - no worries about positioning, etc. You would have to get creative with how to make room for your accessories, but it can be done. It is built like a tank with a lifetime warranty and is made in the USA. Only drawback I have found is that it is heavy.
