Anyone know about Hatsan Spark Compressor?

I just had a go around with Walmart. Which I purchased an Hatsan Spark, with an extended warranty. Well the fan crapes out after 3 months. Then I find out it’s through 2 and 3 parties and they are tucking it to me. I didn’t drop it, break it or abuse it. It’s made in China, that says it all. Here’s my question anyone know what’s going on? The compressor itself still works fine. If I send it back to Hatsan I won’t see this thing in weeks. I’d like to fix it myself, maybe with a computer fan which is probably what Those People put in. Any info would be appreciated m. Thanksgivings

Contact Hatsan USA and let them know the fan failed. I purchased a Hatsan Spark used, the main reduction shaft broke, it was partly my fault because I was filling a 90ci tank and did not release pressure after letting it cool and started it under pressure. Hatsan sent me a new, complete reduction gear assembly, for FREE! Fill out the CS Form on the Hatsan website and give them a chance to make it right!

I had a similar, non-branded compressor where the internal fan also failed. I pulled it out, got the model number and dimensions, and ordered a couple of different replacements off Amazon. I ended up putting the case back on and attaching the fans to the exterior of the case, blowing in right on the compressor head. I actually attached 2 fans, for double the air flow. Not as portable or pretty, but if a fan fails again it is a simple replacement.

My compressor also did not have a separate fan switch - the fan turned on when the compressor was turned on. I re-wired it so that whenever it was getting power from the AC/DC convertor, the fans were running.

Do you happen to have a photo of the piston end of the replacement gear box? I too sheared my pump shaft for the same reason, but on the Benjamin Traveller pump. Rather than tear into the gear drive and try to get a replacement shaft made by a machinist, a quick R&R would be much preferred.

Thank you

Thanks for the time and the responses. This is the bottom fan and when I tip the fan upside down I manually spin the fan and it seems fine. You know this happened outside I have an excellent water/air filter. I did have to do 2 separate fills to fill my BullBoss only b/c it was hot that day and I had to stop on the first fill the manometer read 180* so stopped bled the valve let it cool a bit then refilled. I then shot through another set of magazines and when I went to fill it a third time the fan didn’t come on. That’s the scenario. It is under warranty although it went through 2nd and 3rd parties through Walmart, I guess I’m afraid to remove the hood to do some testing.

Ok so I took the cover off no wires were burnt and that nut was tight. I’ve done a little electrical on my outboards, trim harnesses, gauges, etc. I must say there electrical connections is shorty to their terminals, that’s neither here or there so with my volt meter I’m getting power to the switch both with volts and ohms when turned on however with my experience that’s not telling me much then when I put the cover on I noticed the temp gauge wasn’t working it was working before. I noticed there’s 2 little batteries in there but maybe I shorted it out. The parts they used in this thing, electrical anyway, are cheap as I ever seen! Any more feedback will be appreciated.

No I didn’t short anything I thought it might be the switch. So took the cover off again took the female terminal off the switch touched them and still nothing on the fans. I know that switch can only take a certain amount of current, so thought maybe that was it. I know there is current in the wireing. I looked up the fans I can get them for $14 a piece. I got nerve damage in my hands so motor skills r tough with parts this small, I barely got by doing electrical on boats, this is a little harder. I do appreciate your advice and experience I’m not to good though with your short hand though lol no disrespect intended I haven’t been on social media a lot.
