Anyone in the St Pete or Tampa Fl area with Fx Impact knowledge?

Anyone in the St Pete / Tampa FL area that has a Fx Impact that knows how to tune one the right way. Also wanting some shooting and hunting friends in my area. About my stick: Im the owner of a new to me FX Impact MK2 with the 700mm .25cal STX premier heavy liner and the utah airguns .25cal slug probe and block. I just ordered Ernest Rowe"s duel port.. Im shooting the NSA 34.9grn flat back slugs. Made a few kill shots out to 200 yards so far but I noticed the ballistic data on strelok pro was off a little. I guessed 920fps when entering data on the app. Well I dug out my old trusty chronograph and put a few rounds through it. I was at 806fps. So needless to say i was way off on my guess. I was at 130bar on the power plenum and way out on the hammer spring set screw. So i started to tighten the set screw to the hammer spring slowly also opening up the reg some and watched the numbers rise. I ended up at 150-153 bar and now im at 922fps. I feel like this is still kinda weak for 150bar and the hammer spring hitting so hard. My goal is to be at or just over 1000fps

I have the same Impact setup. I'm at 126 bar on the regulator and slinging 37.4 gr at 930. I have "Ernest Rowe transfer port" installed as well as the slug kit. At your current 150bar on reg and saying your hammer is hitting hard. I think you made an error,

I would back it back down to 130 bar and reset the hammer spring to get you into the 900 where you want to be. You'll need to retune any way once you get the larger transfer port installed.

when tuning the Impact, make sure you open the valve adjuster under the barrel to 4 lines first. then tune reg and then hammer spring. once you get about 10 fps above where you want to be, then start closing the valve adjuster to get to your target speed. that's how I tune. Oh and make sure your power wheel is on max.

Why so fast? You’ll see a lot of strange things happen at that speed. Bob stern just put out an interesting article on hard air magazine that might change your mind when you see how much more drag is put on the projectile. Things get pretty extreme in that area. Like by a factor of 2 maybe even 3.

I personally don’t want much over 950’s, but I also like to be as covert as possible. That sonic crack may only give you a one chance shot. But if it strictly punching paper then go for it. But the drop back down to subsonic from sonic may do some odd things.
