Anyone here shoot JSB "Simply" pellets?

I shoot (or did before covid) 10M fun matches at my gun club in the winter. My rifles are FWB 300S's and a 601, all prefer JSB Match pellets, depending on the rifle either 8.02gr or 8.26gr. While plinking around looking for black Friday deals I found these and ordered 12 tins to practice with. They are advertised to have a 4.50mm head size but seem to chamber easier than the JSB Match 4.50mm pellets I normally shoot and for the same weight they chronograph 15 or so fps faster. So far I'm pleased with them accuracy wise, on the 10 bull 100pt target we shoot they are usually score within 1pt of the more expensive Match pellets. There is from time to time an 8 in them though.

Shoot more and spend less, I like it.

Predator International JSB Simply Pellets .177 Cal, 8.02 Grains, Wadcutter, 500ct - air gun pellets (pyramydair.com)

Here is a little test I did recently.

I have been doing so impromptu pellet testing. Pellets tested:

JSB SCHaK .177 .450

H&N Econ excite .177 4.50

JSB Matck D100 4.50

Old stash Beeman H&N Ultra Match .177 4.50

All shooting done at 10m in what I call Standing Brenchrest.

Guns used:

FWB 300 Tryo made 1970

FWB 600 made ???

5 shot groups on a 10m air rifle target.

First target (Target FWB300) shot with the 300. Second target (Target FWB 600) shot with the 600.

While the pellet choices were good in the 300 none of them delivered stellar accuracy in the 600, point of this post.

All shots were though match iron sights to the gun, Only different in sights, the 600 has a magnifier in the front globe.

Targets run left to right and there are 3 targets per row.

Row 1 Match S100,

Row 2 The big surprise SCHak's

Row 3 H&N Ultra match

Row 4 Excites.

I would weigh and sort every single one of them by head size since that's what I do anyway with the expensive ones to get 0.0" c-to-c accuracy groups.

You would not, you're too busy posting on airgun forums and buying stuff! 😁

SIMPLY = JSB rejects, but hey I've seen some almost unbelievably horrible pellets before that were from other brands that would make great fishing weights. I'd take the JS"BS" anyday over those!
