Anyone here have an L2 250mm in .30?

The trigger isn’t terrible, but there’s a learning experience for sure.

The 250 in .30 is going to have quite the bark no matter what power you’re pushing. The 350 won’t be too much better, but still better. If you’re looking compact, when folded, the 350 barrel is the exact length of the butt, so a 250 is pointless unless you plan on keeping a moderator on it and folding it while it’s on.

I have the barrels in 250, 450 and 600mm and really only use the 450 or 600mm. The 250mm does have bark in .30 and is one of the reasons I jumped up to the 450 and then 600mm. The speed jumps dramatically as with any time you go to longer barrels and the bark decreases.
I just, today, received my 600mm Behemoth and it does quiet the bark even more. As far as power goes I can get the L2 to 100ft/lbs but I typically keep it around 85ft/lbs. That’s pushing the 44.8 FX pellets at 930fps.
I actually like the trigger because it gives resistance immediately and then when you pull that’s it and it makes it more consistent when sending follow-up shots.

If you are used to single-stage triggers, it's quite nice. If you're used to ultra light 2-stage triggers, you'll certainly find it an adjustment. Single stage triggers require a different mindset -- more of a determined mindset. My impression is single stage triggers tend to be put more on combat weapons, and 2-stage triggers more for the benchrest "paper target" crowd. Hunters often prefer one or the other.

I have the L2 250mm .30.....bought it to tag along in a backpack on my adventures. I put the Behemoth moderator on it and changed the regulator to the Huma. Running the factory tune at 700fps with the 44.75grn .30's for 52 shots. My shots are 50yards or less and I liked my shot count. 29.5" overall length in this configuration.

I am just curious , I was going to "pull the trigger" during cyber Monday but decided against it

Every rifle I own is compact from my u1 .30 to my caiman .22 and I liked the idea of an even smaller rifle

@madeintheuk i wasnt aware thw evol mini was available on 30?
Soon available I hope, it's essentially ready just needs final ok.
