I asked because I really like Air Arms, and I did something really compulsive, I bid on one, now I am going like "what got into me" to do that!
Anyone have a Air Arms S510 XS Tactical pcp?

it must be a rare breed;no one else is bidding on it,yet.It could be another Air Arms rifle to add to my others.

I know that various folks like their tactical stuff, but it almost seems like the Air Arms buyer-type liked their beautiful wood stocks more.
Never saw much publicity regarding the tactical looking S510 models, and have noticed that Utah is seemingly trying to clear out their inventory by selling new ones at $1,299, and getting around the MAP requirements by calling them 'open box'. And this has been going on since at least the Fall of last year, and they still have inventory.

As TMH says, the Air Arms buyer-type liked their beautiful wood stocks. 
I got my .22 S510 XS in walnut but, unfortunately, the fixed cheek piece didn't work for me and I had to exchange it for the laminated stock that's adjustable.
I'm sure you'll like yours boscoebrea, the S510 is a fine rifle.

Honestly I've seen one up for bid at around 800, and it does seem like a deal, but after the buyers premium and shipping, a little too rich for my blood for a rifle with little info online. I'm sure it's great, as air arms doesn't disappoint. Hope you win!

Both of mine .177 and a .25 get 40-45 shots, a good 40 for sure. For me that's plenty for hunting or a shooting session. I also prefer the walnut stocks but if its a 510xs in any form it will be accurate so enjoy.

I'm 'almost' getting the tactical bug. If I dropped the dime though, it would probably be on a DRS Tactical. I'm not at all an Air Arms hater - I've had several Air Arms guns and they impress as finely built and accurate. But their darned prices have sure gone through the roof (at least for the Tactical - Am I reading this right?)

I'm glad I prefer a more traditional wood stock when I shoot off the bench, which is mostly all I do. That tactical configuration might be really nice in the field, though.

They are nice built pellet guns, same quality and function as they were 15 years ago...they are the opposite of FX in terms of changing and creating new models. The S510 is same power plant and tech as the s510's were 15 years ago just in a chassis and ar furniture. Nothing wrong with that as they are dependable quality pellet shooter. It definitely doesn't have power to spare for slugs nor is the heavily choke lw pellet barrel suitable for slugs...I modified the valve ports, add huma regulator, increased spring tension, machined parts to fit a 700mm fx liner. It ended up shooting nsa 17.5 grn slugs at 1000fps and was at that point a sweet shooter.

If I win I will be paying less than half that price.I also like the wood Air Arms better,was a rare moment of uncontrolled finger jerk that put me in this position,never-the-less I am excited and scared at the same time
