Anyone have a 25 cal springer?

in my experience , the best way to go in .25 springers is with the noble (uk) patriot or beeman kodiak.....but my neck and shoulders cant take the magnum recoil much anymore. i've always wanted to try the .25 diana 48/52 with the vortek power kit , too.... i've tried most non-magnums, and the best power i have seen is 640 fps with the 20 grain ftt's (uk tomahawk and a .25 eva shockey np2)....the cometa 400 and the striker 1000 did around 625, as the hatsan 85 vortex sniper......the best power levels i've had were the turk patriot and the model 125 at around 830.....but that uk partiot is MUCH easier to handle and shoot - usually around 800 fps.

.i'd kinda like to have .25 r9 , or even an r1 in .25......they did those .25 laser r1 mark2 ones in the late 1990's - i'll betcha those were nice .25 springers.... i guess after 1999 , the laser r1 ( mark III) was that gas-spring arrangement like your rx.... i had went thru several uk webley .25 stingrays , xocets , longbows a few years ago when uk webleys were more abundant.....i never could entertain myself with 500 fps back then.....actually....even today , anything under 12 ftlbs better be a pistol. 520 fps with these 20 grain field target trophy pellets (h&n) is 12 ftlbs.... i have been sticking .25 barrels onto the crosman 2400kt co2 carbines and getting 525-545 fps , depending on the weather..... i had 3 extra barrels made because it is so much fun to "plunk" around with .25.....

I have a hatsan 125 .25 that does around 700 ft/s with JSB 25.39, a bit slow maybe but still very accurate out to 50 meters wich is the longest i have shot it, just got a hatsan 95 .25 yesterday and have not shot it yet, but i realy like the 25 cal in springers, easy to pick up the pellets now when winter is coming and the fingers are cold, would love a 25 cal pistol also!

I normally always go for 22 cal in springers but I might get a 25 cal. I didn't want to buy GTO and FTS pellets since I have a lot of Kings, AAs and King Heavies already. But 25 gr pellets are going to be pretty slow. I'm not going to hunt but I saw a video from VerminHunters where he was using 19 gr pellets in a sub 12 fpe 25 cal springer and getting 1/2 inch 42 yard groups and making kills on birds and rabbits at 50+ yards. I plan to just shoot mine about 35 yards.

If so, which model and what chrony numbers are you getting? And of course, how accurate is it?

I have an R1 Carbine in .25 that's pretty cool. However, the beast Webley Patriot .25 I had converted to a gas ram takes the power and accuracy prize. Over 30 fpe!

Mike Ellingsworth the Hatsan Guru did the work. He also managed to turn the cappy trigger into a sublime piece of mechanical wonder! Lol.

Only issue is its 48 inches long and weighs 9 lbs! As a beast should!!

Too bad we can't get a .25 Snipe from Tony Wall delivered here. Si Pittaway and Davy Thomas are dead-eyed shooters with those Sandwell Fields Sports rifles and the .25 Snipe is a gem. Based on a HW 98 (I believe; the Imp has the HW 95 as its starting point) and then tuned to within an inch of Holy Perfection, Si in particular can do amazing things with that springer. Just was reading another thread here on AGN and was reminded that Mike Ellingsworth is a wizard with Hatsan springers; wonder what he could do with a Hatsan 125 in .25?

That's the 25 cal springer I was referencing in my previous post. I don't really need that type of perfection because it will mainly be used for backyard plinking, I have several very powerful 25 and 30 cal PCPs for any heavy lifting I might need.

Never shot this one...
