FX Anyone got there FX DRS in yet??

Finally received the large DRS plenum (sph) today. The next problem is that the angled manometer bracket that is now for sale as an accessory for the M3 does not fit completely. The supplied screws are too long and the recess provided for the M3 is in principle not necessary. So I suspect that a DRS angled manometer bracket will appear... but none of the dealers/importers know anything about this anymore. Oh yes, the SPH plenum has shorter mounting screws than the HP plenum... they forgot one for me and so I only got three... quickly to the specialist store to purchase an extra screw, sigh

Where did you order it from ?

Nono, the 3 screws in the package are not too short, it is just you need 4 of them :ROFLMAO:
Those longer screws on the picture are from the smaller plenum
Oops, I misread, I thought you said they were too short, I see now you said they are shorter! Still, one missing shouldn't have happened!

Extensively tuned this evening... rifle now does 274 m/s or 899 fps with the 18 grain. shot count is 49!!! and pellets start to drop with a cylinder pressure of 75 bar. I suspect that the reg pressure will be about 80 bar and those extra shots are the result of the large plenum that does not immediately have the same pressure as the cylinder immediately. Hammer spring is remarkably threaded out. Above all, the gun is now much quieter. It really seems like a win-win situation to me. And it immediately looks more Badass!

I’m with you on that middle size plentum. Also with more than one plug location for a gauge. One on the bottom so the action can be lifted out of the stock without degassing and removal of the gauge when tuning and maybe the other one on the lower back which IMOP is a better location than the front as it is better protected if your going to leave it on. So far I am very happy with my .22 x 600mm DRS.

NO FILL PORT!
I noticed that at 4:10 into this video, he shows a still photo of the fancy walnut stock version, with no fill port on the side of the DRS.
I wonder if the photo has been photoshoped, or ???
Fill port appears to be on the other side just in front of the side lever in pics of the walnut version.

I received my picatinny rail for my DRS 22 700 and got it installed yesterday.

I also installed a carbon fiber sleeve.

I was curious to see how the barrel was held into the receiver and what the transfer port looked like.

I had a friend of mine 3-D print a buttpad spacer.

I'm shooting H&N Heavy 34gr @960fps.
With the reg set at 155bar I get 24 shots on a 230 bar fill.
I also use Orion Magazines, they are way easier to load than the FX magazine.

I believe that the Orion Magazine makes the rifle more accurate as it holds the slugs in perfect alignment with the barrel.

I've been using the Silent Thunder Ordnance Falx.

And Pugio

The Falx makes the DRS Very Very quiet! The Pugio is not as quiet, but light and compact on the 700mm barrel.
Overall I am very happy with my DRS it is lightweight and accurate.
I still want to add the slug probe to possibly pick up a few FPS.
This coming weekend I'm hoping to draw 1st blood on prairie dogs.

It was a nice calm evening so I took advantage of it and got my DRS sighted in after installing the picatinny scope rail and carbon fiber barrel sleeve.

The 1st thing I noticed was how quiet the carbon fiber barrel sleeve made the rifle. There was a bong noise from the air cylinder/barrel that is now gone.
It was so noticeably quiet that my wife even commented how quiet it was.

The rifle was very accurate without the sleeve but I thought I would give one a try anyway. I am sure glad I did !

With the addition of the butt stock spacer the rifle fits me so much better.

The scope rail not only looks great but it gets my scope down where I like it compared to the dovetail rings.

The more I shoot my DRS the more I like it.
I do believe my M3 is getting a little jealous !

Shoot Straight !

Just to mention...

I recently received an email from Krale that the filler plug from the first batch of DRS may no longer be used and that they would send a new one on Monday...but no explanation why.

However, after checking, I quickly found out what the problem could be.

Because this is a brass probe and brass is not exactly the hardest material, I suspect it will probably be replaced by a stainless steel one.

For those who have recently purchased a DRS, do you also have a brass fill probe?

1 photo usually says more than 1000 words ;)

grts
Yves.
