Anyone familiar with CCOP scopes?

I ran across a CCOP USA 10X50 mildot fixed power side focus on ebay for $150. Haven't been able to find much info about them. It's obviously made in China. Seems like pricing for the CCOP scopes are pretty varied. Just wondered if anyone had any experience with one. I'd like to find a fixed power in the 10-12X range, just don't want to shell out the $300 for a SWFA if there's a cheaper option,

h20kenny, I don't want you to take this wrong but $300 for a SWFA 10X is like winning the lottery. They are that good! Don't cheap out on this item. SWFA has such a stellar reputation and following. Nobody is making a single power scope that beats their quality for the price. NOBODY! Watch the used ads and they pop up now and again for around $200. to 220. or wait till thanksgiving when they go on sale. Don't be afraid of used SWFA they have a superb warranty!

Unfortunately in scopes half the price regularly means less than half the quality, especially at the lower end of optics. The issue is often in the mechanics and not immediately apparent when the scope arrives.

Never a good thing when the price is all over the place - plenty of chance takers on eBay trying to sell turds at massive markups. And I assure you the guy at the lowest price isn't taking anything like a loss.

I agree with socaloldman - SWFA is, in the US at least, where the best bang for buck lies. Best mechanics by far at the price point I believe. The optisan 10x44 evx is another good option - not sure of the price in your location though.

Thanks guys,

I just purchased a 12X SWFA off classifieds a few days ago, got it yesterday. Can't wait to try it out. If it's as good as everyone says I'm sure there will be more in my future. I think I'll really like the fixed power, like so many others I tend to set my scopes in the 10X-12X range and never change them. Sadly, I started out buying scopes in the $100 range, then went more toward the $150 range. Lastly (until now) more toward the $200 mark (yeah, I have a drawer full of scopes I'll never use again). Seems like you can buy a "pretty good" variable in the $200 range. If that's the case, why doesn't someone sell a decent fixed power in that price range? They would have to be less expensive to manufacture. Oh well, as we all know, you get what you pay for.
