Just about All my MTC Viper Connects look just like that. Very short eye relief. It works! Monstrom tactical mounts could work for you too if you want to saddle both front and rear. Yo!

Speaking of cantilever mounts, there's a lot of good ones but want nice and lightweight? I've said it before but check these out. They even have singles.

Those original LRT stocks are plenty long. I’d have it shortened to meet eye relief needs with the scope moved forward enough to use a second ring. But that’s just me. Uj

I do the vast majority of my shooting off a bench. Crawling up on a stock ( scope) is a challenge

If this solution meets your needs then problem solved. If not, lop it off and don’t be concerned with any potential “devaluation”. You bought a high performance Airgun but it has to fit in order to perform fit you. If done professionally, resale value should not be affected. Uj
