Anyone else's Athlon side focus do this? - *Warranty Update*

Got an Argos BTR Gen 2 today. Bought it from Amazon on a Used - Like New deal. The side focus clicks when I move to the minimum focus setting. Here's a video with sound. Anyone else's Athlon do this? The turrets feel amazing and the glass/reticle seem in order.

Chris, I have an ARES BTR 2.5-15x50 and there is no sound from the parallax wheel at any distance.FYI.

That’s definitely not normal. I would call Athlon and they should warranty it for you.

I’ve got two Argos BTR gen 1’s no sound from either. Sad to say but looks like you need service.

I have a Cronus BTR G2 and a Helos BTR G2, 2-12×42. No clicking on the side focus. I hear Athlon's warranty is pretty good.

Spoke to the warranty dept, sending the scope in. It'll be there on the third and they usually turn around in 3-5 business days. So with the holiday, I'm looking around the 10-15th of July to update y'all

I have a Talos BTR 4-14x30 that when dialed back from infinity to minimum will click three times I have had this scope for a long time and it doesn't seem to hurt. I have four other Athlons that do not do this. The parallax is also VERY stiff on the clicker. .

Interesting. The parallax is smooth and easy to turn on this Argos and the click is pretty tactile and audible. I figure if Athlon sends it back with a clean bill of health, then I've spent $20 for them to certify that it's okay. That's money well spent to me.

I guarantee they will not send it back with that clicking noise on the side focus. You might even get a brand new scope back from them.

Wanted to update this thread as Athlon has been amazing so far. I sent my scope in, arrived there on July 3rd. I called there today (three business days later) to make sure it was delivered safe and sound. I was told it had been inspected and a new scope was being sent out today. 

How's that for some CS?! I'll update again once the scope arrives!

Okay, finally got the scope today. Got to the next town over, bout 10 minutes from me, then took a detour to Florida. Freakin' UPS? Took over a week to go from Kansas to Illinois.

New scope looks fantastic! Turrets are crisp and audible, side focus is smooth, and the glass is clearer than the warrantied one. Overall, I'm a very satisfied customer and I'm already looking at my next Athlon.
