Anybody shot a .30 FX Crown?

"sirk"when i look from the .177 perspective, it does not make any sense to me talking about .25 or .30.
if you want a caliber changer, you want to change more than one caliber up or down. that is what I would do.
i would get a
.177 and a .25 or
.22 and .30 or
.177 and .30
I kind of understand where you are coming from. I see it as the .25 is a great all around caliber with one of the best pellet bc. Its decent to plink with as the cost is not too expensive. Then you have the .30 which is right there with bc, but you can go out and take down some serious game with it.

On the other hand, .22 is a great round in a pellet. There are ton of different options on what you can shoot. They are also starting to make some really nice bullets for it as well. Might become the all around best round again with the options there are out there for it.

I'd say to stay realistic on what it is you intend to shoot or hunt with your caliber. If you know your never going to go after anything bigger than a ground squirrel and you want to plink all day, stay .22 or .25. If you know your going after deer/ coyote/fox and smaller, go .30. Shoot, even the .25 can dispatch those at good distances with a good head shot. I personally like to stay prepared and never not have enough.

In the end, if I was going to get 1 caliber, I'd do .25. If I was going to get 2, I'd go .22 and .30
