Anybody ever try to 3D print ballistic tips for hollow points?

It would be very hard to make a base that small stick to the print surface and stay until the print is done. It would also make them too long for most magazines. I don't think there's much to be gained at sub-sonic velocity and it would stop the relatively slow hollow point from expanding as intended.

Definition of hallow

transitive verb

1 : to make holy or set apart for holy use

2 : to respect greatly : venerate

Orion the iguana Hunter did a video on increasing expansion of slugs by adding sealant into the hollow tip of a projectile. Did some tests with clay. Here’s a link.

Unfortunately things like that only work when you're hunting something as dense as clay. It's like testing expansion against steel, it just doesn't translate to hunting small light game. A big iguana is tough and dense though so it would probably help there.

I had a gun shop back when Nosler first released the Balistic tip and I sold tons of them to deer hunters in my own new ammo. I was even pulling the bullet from cheap 7.62x39 ammo and replacing it with the 125 grain balistic tip. People couldn't get enough.
