I would love to see them release such a bullpup, as many here have said. They didn't have a presence at SHOT that I could find. Any news from them?
Taipan is actually made in Ukraine and assembled in Czech Republic. Doubt they'll be able to even get guns shipped out way with what's going on.
They don't need to really,...Taipan is fine as is, this forward cocking is way overrated in my opinion.

Ancient technology !
Yes, they should come up into the 21 century ! Over rated, not in the slightest. Just good, current...technology. Should be swappable, left to right also, like most current guns...
By the current design of the gun, it doesn't look like it would be too big of a deal. I've seen a coupla guys on this board with the skills to build a mid-cocking lever assembly. Should be a snap for a coupla Engineering type guys at the Taipan factory.
The current, cocking block at the back could still be utilized, just changed a little. It wouldn't have to be artwork, just well designed. Utilitarian would be fine. Hell, even just a different arm at the back, a sliding block around the barrel, and new lever linkage. See the Kaliburgun for design hints !

People that like a rear cocking lever as on the Taipan also scratch their right butt cheek with their left hand.
@TMH the cocking is very nice albeit in the rear. I will say though I disagree on Kalibrgun "fixing" there cocking location by moving it forward. I owned a Cricket and Cricket II and found the rear cocking to be much smoother. But you wouldn't know different not having the others so bonus for you! I find the Taipans to be more refined than the Crickets but that's just me. However I think the Argus would be a better gun as the magazines are different and which is what makes the Cricket II clunky as the cocking has to advance the magazine rather than spring loaded like the Argus.
