Gamo Any way to quiet down a Gamo Whisper?

I got a Gamo Raptor Whisper a couple days ago for back yard plinking while I wait for a HW30S that I just pre ordered from AOA. I kinda wanted to see if gamo's were as bad as some folks say, so I picked the cheapest gas ram gun they offer. I will say it is getting accurate as I break it in, but I am not noticing it getting any less loud, and I've shot about 200 lead pellets through it.

I am shooting premier hollow point lead, and tried even heavier lead with no success in lowering the amount of racket this gun makes. This Gamo gas ram gun sounds more like a springer that badly needs to be shimmed at the spring guide and top hat to get rid of the buzzing vibrational sound, but its a gas ram, so I don't know if there's any way to quiet it down. It is louder than the poorly made Ruger air hawk spring gun I had, and has that similar buzzing sound.

I am shooting the gamo side by side with a borrowed Benjamin Prowler Nitro Piston, and it is WAY louder. The Benjamin has a solid, but quiet, quality sounding thump...whereas the Gamo makes a loud, hollow, buzzing sound. The Benjamin is a few years old, and well broken in, while the Gamo has had 200 or so pellets through it since I bought it a couple days ago.

Not sure if they quiet down much?

I understand the gas piston is a sealed unit, but is there any other internal mod to be done to quiet it down?

Thanks in advance
