That sure is what caused the damage. If you cant get a replacement lower from him then send me a message and I can make the lower for you. I just made some barrel band for another forum member and he is very happy with them. Here are some of the custom parts I make.

Those are some beautiful parts you have there. I wish I had the skills and tooling to make my own parts.
If I could I’d be building my own rifles. Something resembling a Theoben block, flush fit magazines, picatinny rail on receiver, biathlon type reloading. Cassette trigger group from a 700 Remington and a full chassis that take AR parts.

Sorry didn’t mean to highjack.

Yes this is what I’m looking for. The same thing happened to a customers gun that was sent to me years ago. It’s definitely not this one. So we can determine that yes it was the staking screw not long enough. When it pushes this far, it hides the balancing screw in the back. Yours is pretty deep. The one I had was scratched and leaked, but I was able to blend it away and use 90dur.
Hope you have a better time now obtaining this part as I couldn’t purchase one through them back then. To this day could not understand why that was.
I also noticed something in your comments. You are only assuming that this is where it’s leaking without actually testing the repaired area with new seals? So how do you know for sure exactly? The gun may be leaking in another area from another seal. A suggestion would be to reseal the whole lower and valve to rule it out or not. If you can’t obtain the part at least it could be plan B.

@Airgun-Revisions Im assuming this is where it is leaking because the orings all looked to be in good shape. The guy I got it from just replaced all the orings supposedly. I couldn't get the gun to hold any kind of air. I wanted to get some air in it to see where the leak was coming from but it didnt work out. At that point I told myself I would tear it apart and replace the orings myself. Once I opened it up and saw the epoxy job and damage valve and opted to stop and find a competent individual to take it from there.

I didnt want to push my luck with a damaged part like that if I could find a replacement. Also I have no experience with tuning this platform or working on airguns like this. I can spin some external adjustments, clean barrels, and do minor things but this is more than I was comfortable taking on for my 1st reseal with no experience doing anything like this before.

Since you are already familiar with the platform, what would you charge to put everything back together and make sure its functioning properly and has a nice tune on it?

@Texas Iggie that's would be awesome! Thank you soo much brother. As soon as I get an answer from tom ill let you know in this thread. Those parts look great! You have some serious skills sir. I wish I was skilled like you and airgun revisions. 1 day 😆

I don’t conduct customer business over social media platforms. So contact us next week during business hours. We can definitely do this.
As far as the gun being resealed, just because somebody says they did something doesn’t mean it all was done,or the proper seals being used. Many guys will use harbor freight seals for an American made gun that use Dash number seals. This is a big no no. Most rings from box stores are imported from China and China uses metric cord on both their metric O-rings and their standard O-rings.
AR makes sure of this meaning even if factory seals just are not working for the gun we use other options of sizing and composition. We have many resources on site to seal a gun up properly when factory machining specs are not what it supposed to be. I’m also trained tool and die maker all my life so we have the machines. Just no CNC which is what’s needed to make the lower.

@Airgun-Revisions sounds good! I'll give you a call next week to discuss further.

@Texas Iggie ill be in touch with you if i cant get a new lower from tom.

Im now confident my slayer will be back up and running again! Thanks everyone for any advice, suggestions, and help youve sent my way. Ahh there's hope once again. 😀👍👊
