Any side shot mount $30-60 range?

I'm trying look for a side shot mount to use my phone to record videos. And only one I found is from Utah airgun and they sell for $200 plus shipping. I don't think some piece of plastic and screws holding the phone should even cost that much. Is there any other places that sell side shot mount for phone that is in the range of $30-60? I found some phone mount for rifle on eBay that cost $25-30 but they are not side mount. They actually face forward and you look at the camera. If there isn't any affordable side mount I guess I could just order these cheap $25 phone mount on eBay even though it's not side mount. Ain't gonna spend $200 on some plastic to hold my phone. Call my cheap but I'm a working person trying save some money here to feed the family and pay bills.

Well the Side shot is only made by the owners of utah airguns. He invented it, so he can set the price at whatever he chooses considering that he can limit the supply by only selling through his store. The cheap ones will work, the only downside is that they take a few mins to set up and if you are hunting there is a chance it will move while walking meaning you will need to adjust periodically.Plus most dont allow you to look down the scope like you normally would. The side shot is nice because you can slide the frame in quickly and set up the video in way less time. Might be better off making your own for cheap, you can see on youtube. You can buy one used on the classifieds here but they usually sell for around 150 still. Outside of that nothing you can do but accept the price or get something else.

Yeah the thing is only they make it so they set to whatever price they want when it doesn't cost that much in materials to make. I know they gotta make money but selling for 20 times the price of material to make it doesn't make it right. Price would be lower if other companies make side mount. I can only find mounts that straight through the the scope view so it prevents you from looking through the scope. I saw some people make their own phone mount from pvp. Guess I'll take that route since pvp so cheap it cost like $1-2 to make.

Just a suggestion, & opinion.

I like that guys film & show what can be done but; a big rig on my scope isn’t for me nor would I want to even try to get to where Ted’s channel got. YouTube let’s those up because he’s #1 but he gets flagged a lot. They let it ride for him.

If you’re interested in this for yourself or friends then I’d simply set up & film on whatever set up you do have. We recently filmed through 40x96 Kiowa binoculars courtesy of Splataddict1 or whatever buddies handle is. I know his real name but it turned out pretty good. I would have preferred say a wider FOV and even though he has a heavy duty $400+ tripod, was behind to my left 6-7’ you can see the nocs vibrate when I cocked that bolt. Just gives you an idea of the shaking in filming. So besides not wanting to look through camera screen, side mount, extra weight, money, I’d have a dedicated area and film.

If targets no problem. Even my range could easily be a “pesting ” film area as Chipmunks, Rabbits, Squirrels, English Sparrows, all sit right there when I shoot groups. I don’t shoot them. I feed and watch them. Now if a Starling shows up I would but they somehow know not to. Don’t believe it? I laid (2) 12’x12’ fake lawn tarps down to catch lead. Kills weeds underneath & Worms, ants, general bugs are more than plentiful. I have to move the tarps occasionally and let earth dry out it gets so bad. But it brings in the critters & catches the lead.

Stationary idea. Hunting on the move? You may have to bite that $200 cost. If that’s what Ted used it works surprisingly well as his vibrations weren’t hard to watch. I’m more into showing that pellets can indeed Group at 200 and slugs much further. The filming Harry did years ago showing destabilizing pellets in slow motion & a wealth of info must be around. That, I would do & Youtube wouldn’t flag targets. Once anything gets killed be it a legal open season pest you know you’re gonna have to disable comments or be very kind in explaining your trying to prevent the spread of disease. Good luck whatever you do.

Your gun wasn’t making my video vibrate, any motion was purely from me. Also I had the lighter tripod on. Also we didn’t use the binos, we used the 25-60 kowa 883 spotter with the 1.6x magnifier which takes it to 40-96x zoom. I could have had a better FOV if I took the magnifier off but I wanted to see what the zoom was capable of. And when you are talking that level of zoom you just aren’t going to be able to get a good FOV.
