Any Purists Here?

Looks like Laniakea or Pipeline on a small day. I always liked Waianae on a day about that big. It's on the west side near Makaha.

I haven't gone surfing and almost 30 years though.

It does look similar to small kine Lani's or Pipe. But I believe this picture was taken at Incinerators on the South shore (next to Point Panic).

Airguns, yes, and on the powder burning front I like mostly handguns and my TC Contenders.

But also like historic military rifles like my M1 Garand, but my favorite is my Columbian FN49. Mine is #76 of the 1000 with Columbian markings.

I make my living as a photographer, Mostly horse shows, but do dabble in other things photographically.

And you know what this is.

Wow on the astronomy photos!! And the wood on that Garand Colombian looks great!

I think I might be a purist. Airguns are my only hardcore hobby.

There are some satellite interests, but mostly they tie back to airgunning.

Camping, but I only do that for the summertime field target match weekends.

Got a tractor about a year ago, but again it partly ties back to airguns. We bought a property that was partly purchased due to the airgun shooting the "backyard" offers. That 130 yard back yard "range" ended up needing a tractor for dirtwork, mowing, etc. So I spend a lot of time in the tractor seat and a bit of time online on a tractor forum, but nothing like the time I spend here or actually shooting.

Hiking I suppose, but that's mostly done as a way to spend time with wife and kids, not something I'd categorize as "hobby."

Used to be really big into snowboarding, was an instructor a couple seasons, but when I found airguns I decided I'd rather spend the lift ticket/gas money on pellets, etc.

Yeah, I think I'm a purist.

Have always been into Airguns but only knew of the Beeman break barrels as being THE top Airguns to have so that’s what I had for years. Around 1991 I acquired my first, First Gen dodge diesel with the Cummins inline 6 and from then till around 2015 I’ve owned 3 of these trucks and all were diesel hop up platforms. The pics shown are of my latest, a 1993 W250 single cab 4x4 with the A518 Torque Flite transmission. I’ve wrenched on most every part and component on this truck, and along with this I reloaded for precision Ammo. It was the need to paying attention to details with reloading, and wanting to take automotive components apart to understand the workings, that lured me into pcp’s.

the final straw with staying with pcp’s 100% was the demise of my spine. No more wrenching for me. Hand loading for Precidion shooting is still in the picture but why go to a range when I can shoot at home, ha ha

more truck engine pics- almost forgot, but I enjoy building structures, too. Here are pics of a 53’ x 6’ bridge and a 18’ x 12’ dock I designed and my son helped me build back in 2018. He’s in the pics smiling as the hard parts are all done, lol.

nothing like the smell of wood being cut with a skill saw.

Yes only airguns that's it sure i have other interests but in terms of other hobbies I spent time or money on no air rifles are it. I was a springer guy for 40 years until last years and sold all but one (10) and now have 7 PCP's tanks etc. No power burners either only and always air rifles and I have no desire to pursue any other hobbies as this one takes up all my time and money anyway lol!

The photography and knives being posted are particularly cool!

a more recent hobby I failed to post is collecting old money.

here’s some that may interest the group:

top 3 old Russian for the edgun fans

bottom right old Korean for the samyang/career/enanix fans

bottom left is a confederate note for people that are into American history. I thought this one was particularly interesting with the depiction of what I assume are slaves. We have come a long way since then!
