Any one tear down a GX CS4?

Find a channel on YouTube called Jason S or something close to that. It contains a bunch of videos that look like they are shot at the gx factory. Several on there that show taking the cylinder off and tearing into the cylinder itself. I’ve heard there aren’t many user serviceable parts inside the cylinder/piston though. Gx is supposedly in the future going to sell brand new cylinder/piston kits in one drop in piece. I hope that is true as this will make the longevity of this compressor excellent.

Target Forge just dropped a video on Youtube on how to replace the cylinder assembly on the CS4/CS4-I compressors. They also have a preorder for them on their website.
Sorry this is me being lazy but do you recall the price on the replacement cylinder. From watching the Jason s videos the swap looks pretty straight forward and easy.

Price seems very high most than 1/2 that I paid for my CS4. I wonder how much of the price is due to tariffs.
It is just an expensive part, and rarely do they go bad. Water corrosion is the number one cause of failure. Use water wetter or some kind of coolant to stop that and it will last.

AOA has a video of an Omega being broken down. It's probably the best video out there of a cylinder that is like the cs4 series

My CS4 has just over 90hrs filling a 6.8 liter tank and many, many hours direct filling guns, including a bigbore, at the range.
My maintenance routine has been nothing but a couple turns of the grease pot. Only operational mod I've done is turn the radiator and that was recently. I just run it, put my hand on it occasionally checking if it feels hot and don't worry about it. Can't remember my last dead head tested so just did one. A whole 2 seconds longer than when arrived. Nothing, could be me clicking stopwatch or slightly different pressure setting.
They come with a rebuild kit and the only special tool needed for the job, I bought a 2nd kit for $30 just because.
Haven't seen anyone post on here yet about rebuilding because they've worn their cylinder out. How many hours till one actually needs rebuilt?
They wouldn't include a kit if rebuilding was really difficult, factory workers assembly these not technicians. I've got the rebuild video downloaded and will do it whenever that time arrives.
Personally I'll buy a whole new compressor before ever spending half that to put a new cylinder in an old compressor. Then I could part out the old one if needed. Maybe if I wore out a second I'd by just the cylinder so long as I hadn't totally parted out the other.
What a mountain of lead that would take to wear 2 of these completely out.

The corrosion failure was similar to the New Warrior (Benjamin Recharge 4500) that I repaired. The cooling system was badly fouled by minerals from using hard water. Replacing the internal air filter (who would hide that inside the cylinder head?) and mechanical removal of the deposits and corrosion solved the problems.
