N/A Any O-rings after the poppet valve that need be replaced ?

After sleeping in their boxes for six years , ALL my PCPs are leaking. First I thought just the O-rings of the air tank end caps are bad but after replacing them, there is still leakage. I am planning to replace all the O-rings between the airtank and the poppet valve but will that be sufficient to stop the leakage ? Any other things I should pay attention to ?

BTW replacing O-rings is not as simple as I thought. I need to make a LOT of tools for holding parts, opening the end caps, turning regulator pressure adjustment screws and checking the output pressure of regulators. Now I know why springers still exist. My AIr Arms Prosport is still shooting EXACTLY like it did six years ago.

I'm sure it varies some but all airguns should have an O-ring of some sort to seal the piece that pushes the pellet into the barrel from leaking. But if it leaks it won't drain the air tank, it will just allow a little air out when you shoot. Anything after the poppet is that way, it may affect velocity but not the gun's ability to store air. My Prod has little plastic washers around the transfer port. They are not O-rings but may have a somewhat similar purpose.

That's a pretty good way to tell if those oring after the poppet need replaced. If it shoots erratically, or if you place a tissue over the breech opening and get a puff of air, or the chrono shows wild swings, then that's a good place to start. Usually, if I find a older gun has one oring go, then I replace them all. If it's a newer gun and one goes, I might just fix that one and move on.
