It sure looks killer. Wondering how the synthetic stock compares to the beech one. I've read that the gun can be noisier due to the stock being hollow. Anyone here owns one?
I have an HW50 stainless look with synthetic stock, and it's not hollow. As solid as a hunk of timber. No screws loosening after 3000+ rounds. Couldn't be happier with it. I'd bet it's the same material used for the HW97.
Same material but the 97 IS hollow, take off the recoil pad and see 2 chambers one high one low. I and others have filled the cavities with various materials from expanding foam insulation to pillow batting and makes a noticeable difference. Also so everyone is aware the STL range is NOT stainless nor nickel! Ask HW...
