I replied that knurling could be an option but must have said something nefarious. It’s waiting for mod approval….?

KnurlingIn the thread on the huben peanut slugs; people were rolling pellets between two files or a razor blade jig to tighten pellet fit.
Crazy lol… didn’t think it would work. Just have these small HF files…. Nice snug fit.Knurling
Yep@Kenjeepman Getting them to fit is one thing. Now you have to see how they shoot on a consistent basis.
This will be the deciding factor. I developed the utility knife blade knurling so I could keep the knurling consistent. It’s not some magic fix all, but did work great in my application.@Kenjeepman Getting them to fit is one thing. Now you have to see how they shoot on a consistent basis.
Knurled area of slug measured .179 which is the mag minimum. Pushing it through the barrel it mics up right at .177 confirming the barrel is right at .177.This will be the deciding factor. Huben made this pistol with the intention to shoot pellets. Pellets would not fit if the mag chambers were small enough to fit .177-.178 slugs. The head would fit but the skirt would get hung up.Knurled area of slug measured .179 which is the mag minimum. Huben needs to make the .177 mags hole size smaller.
hes been helping me along the way, hasn’t mentioned it.Huben made this pistol with the intention to shoot pellets. Pellets would not fit if the mag chambers were small enough to fit .177-.178 slugs. The head would fit but the skirt would get hung up.
Krazcool Airguns used to sell a custom .177 mag. Maybe he still has some.
I have a .177 and shoot only RWS Supermag 9.3 and 700fps. I also load 4 pellets use 3mm ball Allen key that comes in tool kit and seat the pellet still they hit the mag stop. My perfect backyard air pistol.Anyone own the .177 GK1?
Didn’t help i had other issues going on .. that are now fixed. At the same time i had bought and swapped over the .177 conversion.
already had a bunch of pellets and slugs i wanted to use. Firstly .. slugs are absolutely out of the question. Way too loose in the mag. Bought and tried the NSA .178’s and still loose. I actually had one fall backwards into the valve space which Jammed it and destroyed the plastic cover .. good thing it was a replacement part in the bag. Really good think it didn’t damage the NEW valve and seats i just replaced.
As far as shooting the GK1, no matter what power its set as it dips a little in FPS but then raises. Cant shoot much over 20 mpa before it dumps air. I did try and measure the barrel using pin gauges. A -.176 will pass. -.177 will not. The mag a -.188 just enters the loading side tapering down to . -.179.
Mag is definitely too bag. Not sure what the barrel diameter in relation to cal/pellet size is supposed to be ? Just wondering if anyones had better luck with the .177.
22 is back in and shooting great.
