Specifically askin for the model with the illuminated reticle. How has it held up? Eye box? Is the light bleeding into the tube? Any feedback welcome.

Thank you that makes me feel good. Is the illumination usefull during daylight? Also as its getting dark, does it bleed into the tube?

Have owned 3 of them still own 1, very good scopes had them on springers and pcp. The illumination doesnt seem to bleed any and bright enough for day light unless super bright sunlight.

Thats awesome!!! I actually ordered one yesterday along with a honeycomb and an occular metal cap. What rifles do you have them on and may I ask which mount?

Mine is going on a cometa fenix 400 springer. So u say you had yours on springers , I wonder which ones and how it held up

I have it on a HW50 .22 Vortek tuned.. also had one on a Turkish Tomahawk putting out about 17-18ftlbs.. zero problems on either one. Had the one on the Tomahawk on it for about 4 yrs and a bunch of pellets.

Great scope. I have several. Love the AMX reticle Hawke puts in those. I wouldn’t hesitate to pick one up.

Still glass etched reticle but lacks IR.
For my Vantage scopes (not the 2-7 model but same series), the IR works fine. No bleed, pretty close to “daylight bright” as long as you are not in intense sunlight.
The eyebox on every Hawke scope I have is generous and comfortable, save for the AMX compact series which is VERY finicky with eye placement.

yeah the Vantage is what I was talking about since OP originally asked about it. The 2x7 IR w/etched glass reticle is mil-dot

So rhe scope arrived and is perfect. Generous eye box, on 2 power it focuses down to 3 feet, illumination not bleeding. Everything feels.robust and turns smooth. Couldnt be happier.

@Elgreco I am considering this scope for my Taipan .25 compact for squirrel/rabbit/(maybe one day iguana?) hunting. From your pictures, it looks like the reticle isn't extremely fine, which is what I am looking for: want a reticle I can pick out easily, since it won't be used at particularly long ranges.
Is that your experience, is the reticle pretty easy to pick out, not super fine?

It’s not super fine for me; Bushnell’s MOA Deploy reticle is finer.
Got the old model 4-12 and the 2-7 IR glass-etched Hawkes.
Moreover, it’s a mildot, so those dots should give you bigger and more visible reference points unlike the AMX.
