I'm trying to get an item shipped from Balista company in Hornická 1268/3, Hlučín to the U.S.

Any forum members live near there? I'm having a devil of a time,

FedEx and UPS both want $450+ to ship a package from there to the U.S. I can get stuff from China

for Free Shipping...makes no sense that the Czech Republic has no reliable mail service for packages 

sent abroad.

Anyone up to date on this situation???

Grand Uncle HOOT, another mail order bride? 450 USD seem a reasonable sum, you know air holes and other crate modifications are not cheap.

You might try to email one of the Altaros regulator guys, contact info on Altaros website. They are from the Czech Republic. I ordered a regulator from them, took approximately 3 weeks to get shipped to the USA. They may be able to help, can’t hurt to ask..

I just had a dog shipped from the Czech republic to San Francisco airport. $ 1950.00 was the cost. but that was a live animal and by plane. I would think $ 450.00 is a little high to me but if you need it what choice do you have. I think you are going the right way in asking for help.
