Tuning Any Benjamin Marauder and Akela simple tunes

Subscribe to many threads as well. What worked for one user may not be the optimum tune for you. I grew up in the 60' & 70's- tuning a car for speed was trial and error. Cams, carbs, timing- air guns are similar. Have to say, getting a Camaro from the 13's to the 12' s wasn't so much the joy of going faster, but learning how everything is interrelated.

When my brother and I would finish with a car, it was quick, but it also had had great efficiency. Accuracy is the side benefit of an efficient tune

There are at least 4 different types of barrel band available for the Akela.

The one on ebay that I see most often is a single piece. Not sure how that even is fitted.

The One that came with my used Akela has a screw that tightens two halves together.

I've seen one just like mine that also has a picatiny at the bottom for bipod.

Then there's this one that is priced no more than others, but adds picatiny tails on three side;

Start with the PRod:

I'd leave the semi auto Marauder alone, besides looking at the crown, bore pasting and a trigger smooth- reliability of the cycling is important and it's possible to end up with a single shot.

There are hours of PRod video's out there, and hone in on those that show the before and after results. If their results marry to your goals, then have at it! You will learn a ton and be writing advice on AGNation for us to learn from in no time
