Any Bauer Oceanus owners out there?

I am curious if there are any electric-start Oceanus owners on the forum. A couple years ago, I picked up a used one, but with a pull start. For the most part, it works very well. However, it is cold blooded and doesn't start too well in the Upper Midwest in the winter time. I'm likely going to see if I can have it converted to an electric start. It has a Honda GX 160 engine.

I have one but it is 220v electric. There are drill start adapters for tons of Honda engines. Some even with gear reduction for 12 plus HP. Might be a little more cumbersome but likely a much cheaper solution and you would probably only need it for the first start of the day.

I do have a 220 line in my garage......

Unless you intend to move it around, I would convert to electric. No oil, exhaust, heat, maintenance, less noise. So nice to just flip a switch and be done in a few minutes.

Which model is yours? Mine is an Oceanus 20. It has been terrific.

Not exactly sure of the model, but it was made in 2011. I got it thru a local scuba shop. The seller is a service tech for many scuba shops in the upper midwest (Lake Superior).

I’m going to start asking around who might be able to do the conversion.

By the way, the first video I watched on Youtube worked great to fire it up today with my cordless drill
