Well, it seems I am back with another anti-gun movement story. Last year if you all remember I thrown off YouTube. Well, this year I guess it is my turn to get thrown off Weebly. For those who don't know Weebly is an online service which provides a shopping cart, and website plug-in feature so one can run a virtual store. Three years ago when I started Edgun West, Weebly seemed like the neat little company who gave great service. The tech support helped build my website and even commented: "these airguns look cool." They were fully aware of what I was selling. Fast forward about nine months ago, and I have an hour-long chat with the CEO of Weebly discussing how they could make the site better. At that time I was told that I was the most successful business on their platform. The CEO and I went through my website, and he also commented on how great the products looked.
That was then... this is now. About four months ago I was notified that Square had purchased Weebly and that the "experience would be so much better." Last week, despite having an email that I was allowed to be on their platform Weebly evicted me without warning. I mean honestly, they treat homeless people better than a small business owner. They disabled my site. I was able to talk them into giving me three weeks to migrate my stuff to a new platform. I called Tim, and he said ": don't worry I'll help. Thank god was there to help. There are a lot of things that go into moving your website, but one of the most important is your Google data. As a small business, I really cannot afford a large web developer to put a site together for me. I don't want to be in the same situation as before where some Liberal Silicon Valley company decides that a law-abiding small business is morally wrong and they are going to cancel my subscription because they want to push some social agenda. I don't know what has happened to us as Americans; we used to be Capitalist, now companies decide what political view you're supposed to have. It is frustrating and concerning at the same time. Well, my new website is awesome, we still have some tweaks to fix so in the next few weeks, please be patient, I promise this will be the website a product like EDgun deserves. I will not let Square or any other liberal company decide what I should sell legally; the one shining light is this is the USA still one of the greatest places to do business. Small Startups Like 3 step Solutions are more than happy to take the throwaway business that doesn't fit the silicon valley "approved product list," so even if your not an Edgun fan vote with your wallet, refuse anything that comes from Square, they can only win if good men do nothing.
