Anschutz 380

The last of the spring powered Olympic match rifles included the Anschutz 380. It is recoil free , but other then the sledge type like the FWB 300 . or the Diana 54 Air King , the mechanism is internal. I have no idea how it works , but it certainly does. The trigger is light , but I haven't measured it so far , although I have the gauge. It had no rear sight on it when I found it , but my eyes could not have used them anyhow. So , it wears a Hawke Vantage 3 X 9 scope , which is fine. I love shooting it off the bench , usually at 25 yards. The JSB 7.33 is what I feed it.

I read the posts. Old , going back to 2002. The black plastic cheek plate is true , but some had a wooden plate instead. Unlike most spring powered rifles , it can fired off the tripod as well

. Try that with my FWB 124D or my Weihrauch 35E and the shoots go hay wire because of the recoil. Those I shoot off a bench with bags for support. And I just barely contact the rifle , just enough to pull the trigger. Loose is the word. But if that is done , very accurate. I could fire a Diana 54 Air King from the same tripod with accuracy. That rifle has been sold.
